PARENT/TEACHER
INTERVIEWS
Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held on Friday, March 14th. Please
watch for time schedules coming home with students.
ROCK LAKE CHORAL FESTIVAL
The Rock Lake Choral Festival will be held on Tuesday, March 18th in
Crystal City. Grades 1-4, High School Choir, and our vocal ensemble
groups will be participating. Schedule to follow. HAVE FUN!!
RECYCLE FOR ED
Our school has registered for Recycle for Ed. It is a program where we
collect used ink and toner cartridges that are deposited at any Staples
stores. The money is funneled back to our local schools. The RM of
Roblin and Village of Cartwright have agreed to participate in the
program as part of the recycling collection. All community members and
businesses are encouraged to support the program. Thank you for your
support!
JUNIOR CURLING
Special thanks to Tom Mowbray for again helping out with the Grade 6 -
8 Junior Curling Program. The students are curling every Thursday from
12:00-1:30p.m, playing 4 end games. The students are divided into teams
and play round robin.
HEALTHY FOOD/SNACKS
Healthy snacks will be once a week in March. Please watch for food
order forms sent home with your children.
SAFE WORKERS OF TOMORROW
There will be a Safe Workers presentation at the school on Monday,
March 3rd at 6:30p.m. This is part of the English as Additional
Language classes. Items covered: hazard awareness, safety & health
laws and regulations, workers rights and employment standards. There is
no cost to attendees and all are welcome.
CURLING IN SWAN LAKE
The grade 7 & 8 students will be curling in Swan Lake on Tues.
March 4th. Permission slips will be sent home.
CAREER SYMPOSIUM
The grade 9 & 10 students will be going to Brandon on Wed. March
5th to the Career Symposium. Permission slips will be sent home.
WORLD VISION
Cheryl Dousselaere will be taking 5 student reps from our 7/8 class to
Morden for the Generating Momentum for our World seminar on Wed. March
5th.
I LOVE TO READ
Parents are all welcome to our 9 a.m. assembly on Fri. March 7th. The
students will be doing chants and songs to celebrate “I Love to Read”
days.
ARTIST IN THE SCHOOL
Stan Lesk will be in our school all week starting March 3rd. He is an
Improvational artist and will be entertaining our K-12 students.
